You forgot http://www.bmindful.com/ !
There aren’t many monochrome websites around these days, in my opinion because they aren’t very effective
Just my opinion
@Eli:
Ha, interesting. “…they aren’t very effective” for what, I wonder?
I think that they are most effective with just a touch of a secondary, vibrant color, such as the colors used in the Xtendio and Stefan Perrson’s site.
If positioned effectively, it may guide the user right to a targeted location or piece of information on the site. Nice collection of examples
I think they look great if they’re done well like the ones you’ve shown above.

Exactly where are the monochromatic sites? All I see are greyscales or black and whites. Monochromatic is a variation on the same color; black and white don’t count as colors in this regard.
this one is perfect
Monochrome web site looks classic and beautiful, it’s better to have white/light grey as backgraound rather than black. nice post… I like this
Thanks a lot for this article
Recommend this site for great pleasure.
I agree with Derek’s comments
” … touch of a secondary, vibrant color, such as the colors used …”
i particulary like the use of red for example. It’s powerful yet if used carfully it can be subtle…
thanks for the great posting …
They look awesome, inspires me to do a template that is monochrome.
