Wide Web 2.0 Style

For purposes of this blog post I am going to be calling this style of site “Wide Web 2.0″, I know web 2.0 isn’t a design style nor should it be but these style of sites starting appearing on web apps and web 2.0 sites. They basically consist of vertical areas which stretch 100% of the screen with a fixed width center that houses the content.
