    I believe the use of black can be very powerful if done correctly. I use a custom black theme for my blog, and am very happy with it.

    I would be interested to know if there is any research into black websites as a popular colour.

    Personally I dislike black pages the moment they load. I would stay away from them completely (even for a music based site) unless someone I made a website for actually ‘demanded’ black.

    Blue is apparently good for business websites….
    Right/Wrong?

    While no one could debate that a black website can be visually appearling, I think the bigger issue is “how user-friendly”. The fact is that black turns off most users. Just my opinion, but I’m sure you could find surveys to support this.
