In my last SEO for WordPress article, I started with 5 tips for making your WordPress blog SEO friendly. We discussed things you could do on an ongoing basis to give your blog value to people and search engines — optimized content, proper keyword research, optimizing photos, building links and using navigation techniques to optimize for search engines.
This time, I want to talk about five WordPress plugins that will add SEO value to your blog. Remember, plugins are packages of code that add functionality to your wordpress installation. With each version of WordPress, plugins have gotten easier to install and maintain. So, there is no excuse for not using the proper tools to promote your site and make it more search-engine friendly.
Without further ado, here are 5 WordPress Plugins for Search Engine Optimization.
All-in-one SEO Pack
If there is one SEO plugin that you want to have, this is it. With this plugin, you can automatically optimize your titles for search, generate meta tags and even override your current blog title. For example, for this post, my title is “10 Tips for Making Your WordPress Blog SEO Friendly…Part 2″. However, I can put in a new title that the search engines will see.

Simple Tags
One of Simple Tag’s greatest features is being able to automatically pull tags from your posts after you write it. Other features include mass tag editing and auto completion as you type.

Google XML Sitemap
When creating a website or blog, a sitemap is one of the first things you want to create to help add value to your SEO. With this plugin, you can easily create a sitemap for Google and several other search engines.
Add to Any
In terms of ranking high in Google and building your page rank, this is an important plugin, as it gives users the option to send your post to a variety of different social sites, giving you more links on the web. Once you install the plugin, users can easily save and share your posts by clicking on the site they want to send it to.

SEO Friendly Images
Based on your settings, SEO Friendly Images automatically adds alt and title attributes. The plugin also makes your blog post W3C/xHTML valid.

Great list. I had 4 out of 5 and will be installing “Add to Any” tonight.
Great list, I’ll be putting this on my To do list when creating a wordpress blog.
really helping post.
Makes me feel pretty good knowing that I was using this exact group…
TY for the vote of confidence.
Change that… I’m going to use sociable instead… While add any has more diversity, sociable tends to be a more dominate feature on the post
