The whole site is done in a handwritten style with tons of white space. Very unique and interesting.

The site feels a lot more rough and grungy than you might expect for His Holiness.

Not nearly as interesting as the artwork itself, but it’s simple, clean and scales nicely.

How about it folks? Are there any websites for famous people that you think are really well designed? Personally I thought this list was WAY too hard to put together. I looked at the websites for probably hundreds of famous people I just assumed would have nice websites, only to find out nearly all of them had either nothing or horrible looking sites.

Sadly missing the list: Any of the worlds top billionaires. Any billionaire really should have a top-notch website, if you ask me.

Being Welsh I might be slightly biased but check out Charlotte Church’s site. http//www.charlottechurch.com/

Yes, this is a great post. Who knew Paul Simon was so Web2.0?

Oli, I’ve been a reader of tutorial blog for quite a while, so no disrespect intended, but the title of this post is “Well Designed Websites of Famous People”… Is the Pope’s website “well designed”? Sure some pages have decent graphics, but as a website it uses area maps and table layouts, tons of deprecated markup, and no CSS whatsoever that I can see. Not at all on par with any of the other sites listed above. I’d put the Chihuly site in the same category as the Pope’s, except that it uses a smattering of CSS.

Gisele site is awesome… very cool

Gisele’s site is rubbish, I know she’s incredible but the site definitely isn’t. I also totally agree with Sean about the Pope’s site.

Some sites have a very well designed homepage…but if you click any further…the real quality of the website emerges…*ouch*
