I don't undarstand why joomla has no seo infrastructure? Couse all meta data descriptions is there by default joomla installation and even there is SEF url. And i am not talking about extensions there are for joomla tons of them for sitemap for SEFurl for page redirect controls, for robots.txt cretors. Also Joomla CMS is good couse it is controled by url parameters and have one index file for websites front end its good for google to know that the webpage is not static content. The SEO extensions are far from being as good as sh404sef, which is one of the best, artio is a good one and then you have one SEO extension from iJoomla which is very powerful with a lot of geat features.
