I just used this feature for the first time on doing a set of five different page layouts for a client’s website. Those built-in scripts, I didn’t know about, and those will come in handy.

Agreed, I have been using layer comps since they were first introduced for sites and ads with 20-30 pages+. However, Andy is correct, client revisions sometimes mean removing layers which then can still throw your layer comps into slight disarray (when you get the triangular [!] next to it). What I'd recommend, and what works very well is to continue to use photoshop layer folders to organise the content. Things that don't change across layer comps such as logo position, taglines, navigation, copyright etc you can put in a top most folder. Then "folderise" the rest of the content of each section. In this way if you want to edit a specific section you can first click on the layer comp, then see which folder is visible and edit away. Re-save the layer comp with the client revisions and you are done.

Very nice indeed!
Especially the scripts are very handy for making fast mock ups for clients.

Should have known this a long time ago...

Very nice. I'm always amazed how many features there are in Photoshop that I still haven't tried despite using it for going on 10 years now. There's a job I just finished where this would have been ideal, but instead I did it the manual way, flipping between four different sections in the same psd. It got pretty tedious after the 8th client revision...
