Installing WordPress With SimpleScripts

how to install wordpress

I’ve recently discussed different ways to install WordPress, including the famous 5-minute WordPress installation and installing WordPress with Fantastico. I’m now going to discuss installing WordPress with SimpleScripts, which some claim is the easiest of the three installations.

Installing WordPress with SimpleScripts has become popular among Bluehost users especially, since Bluehost began including it in the control panel and since many claim that its easier to install than Fantastico.

You’ll begin similarly as installing Fantastico by going to your host’s cpanel and navigating to the Software/Services area and clicking on SimpleScripts.

From the script list you’ll choose to install the WordPress script. After clicking to install, you’ll get a brief overview of WordPress, before clicking to install again.

You’ll now be taken to the general configuration screen to finish the installation. You’ll usually want to choose the most recent version of WordPress. Next, you’ll choose which domain you want to install WordPress on and give it a name.

If you choose to have an administrator login and password generated for you, then one will be automatically generated. If not, then you’ll fill in an administrator login and password. This is what you’ll use to sign into your WordPress dashboard.

After you click complete, it should take just a few seconds to finish installing. Now you can start installing themes and plugins and write your first post.

Ya its really easy to install wordpress when compared to other. Moreover it has flexibility of adding other themes and plugins to it. So the designer feels it to be perfect when he installs wordpress. The flexibility as well as the features in the wordpress has made the designers to install it and use it more.

It’s true. SimpleScripts is so easy… it’s pretty much “no tutorial needed” software. However, it’s good to see it here.

I kept installing wordpress manually for a long time because I was used to doing it that way. The first time I did a SimpleScript install I nearly wacked myself in the forehead it was so easy! WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG!! If I’d seen this tutorial I might have switched earlier.

Another great thing about SimpleScripts is that it makes updating super easy too.
