Logo Design Software

Most vector packages will do the job – my choice for designing logos is Adobe Illustrator, you will of course need some Illustrator Tutorials to help you get to grips with the package and maybe some vector downloads or some quality free fonts.

As usual if you have any tutorials or resources to add, please do so in the comments.

  10. Vernon says:

Excuse my ignorance but once I have designed a logo in Adobe Illustror, how to I save just the logo with a transparent background so I can use it on a web site? The only think I have been able to come up with is to make the page size just big enough to contain the logo then export. But this leaves a rectangular back board type effect. Also, please tell me what file format I should use for a web site logo.

    Thanks for any help!

    Cheers
    Vernon
