In this tutorial we are going to take an ordinary photo of a woman and stylize it with a few techniques which give it a more abstract feel and make it a bit more interesting.
This is our starter image :

First of all, duplicate the original photo layer, then on the menu go to, Image > Adjustment > Channel Mixer and use these settings in the dialogue box :

Now, on the menu again, go to, Image>Adjustment>Hue/Saturation and use these settings :

You should now have this image :

Now right click on this layer and take the opacity down to 60% :

Duplicate the original photo layer and drag it above the blue layer, right click it and change the blending mode to ‘linear light’ which should give you this result :

Looking good already, just a couple more steps now to finish off - duplicate this layer and you will get :

Now its a bit too much, last part is on this last layer, go to, image > adjustments > desaturate and we’re done, your final image will look like this :

This was a really good tutorial !
I liked the result I got :’D
GAY!! anway nice tut.. LOL
This only really works if you have a decent image to start with. A lot of images I tried just didn’t work. Still a great effect though!
Here’s my little addition: If you delete the last layer of the tutorial and then apply a ’surface blur’ (filter - blur - surface blur) and set radius to around 11 and threshold to around 225, you get a really nice effect. Again, you have to have a suitable image in the first place. Darker images tend to look a bit crap.
cool effect looks like the cover from a shakira album. Now thats how they do it could be used to get rid of imperfections to
Good effects, i say about the girls
