Since the excellent Google Maps was created there has been loads of useful tools and sites created which use their API, today we’re going to be taking a look at the best and most helpful examples …


Google Maps for WordPress – Handy plugin which allows you to easily embed Google maps within your WordPress pages. Useful for a contact page or to illustrate somewhere you are talking about in a blog post.

    Just recently I used Google’s API for a map on a web development. The features are pretty phenomenal!

    I’ve spent a while in the past developing applications using google maps and I must say I really love the Goggles application. How fun it was to fly around, absolutely useless but barrells of fun. It’s nice seeing people putting new thinking into way of navigating Google Maps.
